The Wall that Heals was on display 24/7 at the Manitowoc County Expo Sept. 12 – 15, 2019. Veterans were standing guard and providing information 24/7.
All gave some. Some gave all.
This is 3/4 replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington DC. The names of 58,276 who gave all and did not return from Vietnam are etched into 140 numbered panels. They are listed in chronological order by date of casualty. The red roses represent the local boys who did not make it home and are positioned in front of the panels where their names are etched. A spark from the Eternal Flame at the Manitowoc Veterans’ Memorial was used to light the flame at the Wall.
